My health started going array in June 2007, and it started with low thyroid + pure exhaustion, acid reflux to the point of not being able to sleep or eat ...4 upper endoscopies and other procedures...the Mayo Clinic determined my entire GI tract to be hypersensitive in 2008. I became very thin, barely 130 lbs and swimming in size 6 jeans .
After giving up dairy, meat and gluten over the course of several months, my tummy stopped getting cramps, bloated, nauseated, indigestion...and starting to feel so much better and able to exercise and get back to January 2007 me.
My new year resolution for 2010 includes the following: -become 90-100% vegan by the end of 2010 -try a new vegan recipe each week
and/or
-try a new food
Instead of having a pantry full of poptarts, granola and fiber 1 bars, fruit snacks, pizzas and Little Debbies...I have raw almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, brown rice, quinoa, lentils, different beans, brown rice, dried fruits and veggies in the fridge.
I am happy to be healthy with little medication, and able to eat a proper diet without OTC drugs + saving money!
